There are fixation, compression and autocompression plates.

Plates fixate fractures of short bones or tub (long) bones, they are for corrections and bone stabilisation. Bone plates are made of implant steel. Fixation of the plate on the bone is performed with the help of bone screws.

Fixation plates
Fixation plates are plates with circle holes for bone fixation on both sides of fracture firm up with help of screws. Screw head is partly hidden in the plate. On both sides of the plate there are holes for spongious screws, other holes for cortical screws. Eccentric screw placing at wider plate can reach partial axial compression.

Plates autocompression
With the help of autocompression screws, compression of fragments can be done without any other instruments using. The plate has on one or both sides compression holes - with the inclination up to 45°, during screwing of the screw, the bottom part of the spherical surface slides on sloping plane of the plate hole, and this way the fastened fragment of the bone shifts towards the fracture.
The screws get screwed in neutral position of holes until the final fixation is done.

Compression plates (reconstruction)
Compression plates have lengthwise holes with spherical or conical surface of contact for screw heads.

Straight plates, 1/4 tubular plates, 1/3 tubular plates, 1/2 tubular plates
It is a thin plate with circular holes for bone fixation on both sides of fracture firmly, with the help of screws. It is used for fixation of small bone fragments.

T-plates for distal radius, calcaneus, lateral clavicula
They are compression plates with circular holes and a lengthwise hole, they are used for fixation of joint fractures, for reposition and fixation of small bone fragments. The locking is done via screws through holes.

T-plate angled with points
It is used for correction osteotomy of distal radia. The plate is anchored very well thanks to the points in the distal fragment and supports stability of synthesis. Plate synthesis is also indicated for fractures of distal radia of type B.

T-plates for tibia and humerus
Plates for heads of tibia and humerus, to support the head of tibia, for distal radius.
This plate with lengthwise holes enables compression across T section even before axial compression.

Plate for front edge of shin bone.

L plate
Plates for support of head of tibia (knee bone).

L plates small
Plates for fractures of hand fingers.

Cloverleaf plates
Plates for intra-articulatory fractures of bottom head of tibia (shin bone).

Pelvic plates
Pelvic plates are flexible plates determined for fixations of pelvic bone fractures, mainly in the area of acetabula, but also other pelvic fractures such as pubis symphysis, back vertical hip bones and in the area close to sacral bone.

Thorax plates
Thorax plate Jansen is a flat plate of different sizes, there is a central hole in the centre of it that fixates the chest bone. The plate is straight in the basic version, it gets formed according to the chest during chest operation with common surgical instruments for plate shaping. It is used easily during operations where it is necessary to stabilise chest. One plate is commonly sufficient for stable fixation. The ribs are fixed to the plate by circular sutures or wire loops.
